On 1 April 2011, The Shooting Star Children’s Hospice and CHASE hospice care for children came together to become Shooting Star CHASE.
The overall objective of the merger was to provide a more responsive, more flexible and more sustainable service so we can give better care to more families.
One year on, we are delighted to be helping 15% more families. There are also lots of other things to celebrate.
Our latest campaign is encouraging people in Hounslow and Elmbridge to support their local children's hospice service.
Shooting Star CHASE currently cares for 48 families in Hounslow and 21 families in Elmbridge, providing them with care, support and advice when and where they need it most.
Lend a hand, and help us to care for local families in your area who really need our help.
Because of you, we can extend our Hospice at Home services, supporting more families in their own homes where they often want to be.
In July we will begin work to extend our Hospice at Home team of nurses, carers and therapists to ensure we provide the most comprehensive, inclusive and effective home support of any children’s hospice service in the country.
Your support of our Key to Care campaign has been vital in enabling us to achieve this, but we still need your help.
On Friday 18th May Shooting Star CHASE is celebrating Children's Hospice Week.
Children's Hospice Week is designed to inform people about the work of children's hospices across the UK, and show them how important places like Shooting Star CHASE are, to families who need our help.
The theme is 'superheroes' and we have lots of fun activities planned, as well as some brilliant ideas to get you and your friends, family and colleagues involved.
Welcome to Shooting Star CHASE. We are your local children’s hospice service, a charity caring for local families with a child or teenager with a life-limiting condition. We support families living in western London, Surrey and West Sussex.
