Medical advances mean Shooting Star CHASE now cares for more teenagers than ever before. We need your help so teenagers like Josh can be independent and enjoy a more normal life.
My name is Josh and I’m 15. I have Duchenne muscular dystrophy. I used to be able to walk but now I use a wheelchair. Inside, I’m just the same as any other teenager. I love Chelsea, making music and hanging out with my best friend, Freddie. We’ve been friends since we were four. We had to stop playing football as my muscles got weaker, but it didn’t stop us being friends.
I have a disability but I don’t want to be a kid my whole life, and rely on mum and dad all the time. That’s why the hospice, Christopher’s, means so much to me. It’s the one place I can be an ordinary teenager. Freddie often comes too.
Best things about Christopher’s:
I can’t imagine life without these things. I’m not stupid. I know it costs money. That’s why I hope you can help.
