Our care doesn’t stop after a child has died. We continue to provide practical and emotional support for the entire family for as long as they need.
By taking part in the Sunrise Walk you can help us raise over £50,000 so we can continue providing a lifeline for parents, siblings and other family members who are coping with the devastating loss of a child.
With two routes to choose from in a picturesque setting, anyone can take part – whether you’re an experienced walker or enjoy a stroll with your family and friends.
The walk is set to take place on Sunday 5th June 2016 at 4:30am at the beautiful Ham House near Richmond.
Back for it’s fourth year, the Sunrise Walk has so far attracted over 750 walkers who have raised an impressive £130,000. For 2016 we’re looking for 300 walkers and we hope to beat last years fundraising total of £50,000!
Our main 20km route will remain the same as previous years, and we now have a 10km route which is ideal for families with young children. Every child that signs up to the walk will receive one of our friendly themed activity sheets to keep them occupied along the way! This will be sent out with their final packs.
Please note due to the small number of people taking on last years 30km route, we have decided this route will not be offered this year.
The routes will take you past some stunning sights including Richmond Park, Richmond Hill, The Thames, Ham Common, Bushy Park and Home Park near Hampton Court Palace.
We would like to thank The Pauline Quirke Academy for sponsoring our 2016 Sunrise Walk. We are delighted to be working with them on our flagship challenge event.
