Director of Communications
Adam has worked predominantly for not-for-profits since leaving the world of football sticker collections in 2003. Since then he has worked across a wide range of charity comms, with particular focus on media relations, creating compelling publications, and nurturing brands to better reflect a charity’s mission.
In 2013 he led the rebrand following the charity’s merger, tasked with breaking deep-rooted misconceptions associated with children’s hospices. The creation of a group of fingerprint characters called The Friendlies – which communicate both the fun and sensitive nature of children’s hospices – won the Third Sector Award for Brand Development in 2014.
Adam also has experience in the media at major sporting events, including two years at London 2012 where he helped set up and deliver the official Olympic and Paralympic News Service.
Best thing about Shooting Star Chase:
“Having the privilege of sharing the stories of the families we support. They communicate the work we do in a really powerful, poignant and positive way which is as inspiring for the team as it is for our supporters.
If Adam was one of the Friendlies, he would be…
Professor Popplepants: Creative, suave, direct, cheeky. He now just needs to achieve Professor status. And grow a ‘tache.
