Acting CEO & Director of Finance and Resources
Piers is a qualified chartered accountant having qualified in 1994 and has worked in the charity and not-for-profit sector since 1996. After two years in Tanzania working on a Primary School Project, he returned to the UK as a charity auditor at Baker Tilly, then as a senior manager at Crowe Clark Whitehill, two leading firms in the charity and not-for-profit sectors. Piers then worked for the Marine Society and Sea Cadets for more than seven years, helping the charity return to financial stability and increasing cadet numbers by 40% after years of decline.
Piers joined Shooting Star Chase in 2012 and has worked on a number of projects with the overall aim of efficient use of resources and financial stability.
Best thing about Shooting Star Chase:
“The opportunity to work across lots of projects in an organisation striving to grow and improve in order to provide care to more families.”
If Piers was one of the Friendlies, he would be…
