We have an exciting new role for an Assistant Shop Manager to join our new shop in Cobham which is due to open in January 2019!
Salary: £10,098 per annum
Hours: 22.5 hours, including weekends
Reporting to the Shop Manager we are looking to recruit a friendly and creative Assistant Manager to join our new shop which is due to open in late January 2019.
You will play an integrated role within the retail service at Shooting Star Chase, supporting the growth and the excellent services we provide to our customers and supporters.
The successful applicant will support the Shop Manager in the day to day running of our shop in Cobham, and recruitment and management of a team of volunteers. You will be expected to motivate, train and appreciate all our volunteers who are a vital part of this position.
The role requires a pro active, hard working individual who can react to the changing needs and challenges that running a shop demands.
• processing donations as soon as possible with the support from the volunteers
• ensuring all merchandise is displayed appropriately and the window display is creative and eye catching
• Promoting gift aid
• Recruiting and training volunteers
• Following cash and banking procedures and submitting financial documentations to the Finance Team to process
Having previous retail experience is essential along with a can do attitude. You will be responsible for the opening, closing and duty management of the shop when the manager is absent.
