Salsa in support of Shooting Star Chase

This fundraising night went with a swing!

A group of undergraduate International Event Management students from the University of Surrey decided to put the skills gained on on their degree into practice in aid of Shooting Star Chase.

The team put together ‘La Bomba’ a latin themed evening of Salsa dancing and celebration, held in Wates House coffee bar and green room on campus. The main event of the night was a latin dancing performance and workshop from Surrey’s Salsa and Bachata Society.

The evening included an array of entertainment including piñatas, face painting and musical performances from talented University of Surrey students.

Rosemarie, one of the wonderful volunteer Ambassadors for Shooting Star Chase, praised the group, saying “The La Bomba evening was very well organised and well attended. It was a fun occasion and I was pleased to be able to attend and thank everyone for their hard work and generous support!”

The night was incredibly successful and managed to raise an incredible £674 for Shooting Star Chase, through tickets,  merchandise sales and a fantastic raffle!
