North West London and Hertfordshire-based car dealership Crown Honda has been supporting Shooting Star Chase through various fundraising initiatives in late 2014 and 2015.
Tim Dibbs, Managing Director of Crown Honda Hendon and Crown Honda Bushey, explained: “There are so many worthwhile charities out there, that choosing a single one to fundraise for was never going to be easy. However, once we met Katy from Shooting Star Chase and saw the wonderful work the team do, our decision was made. They helped us to create a programme of initiatives that was a fantastic way to motivate and engage our employees.”
They began their support in December 2014 by asking staff and customers to donate Christmas presents for the children supported by Shooting Star Chase. A huge number of gifts were collected and delivered to Shooting Star Chase in time for Christmas Day. They then kick started the new year by asking staff to support our onegoodthing campaign and donate good quality items to sell through our charity shops.
Alongside this, the company donated money for new cars sold in December and staff members have been collecting 5p coins for the One Million 5p Challenge. Three of the team even entered our Stair Climb challenge event!
Tim continued: “We have also had a number of lovely comments from customers about our fundraising, which can only enhance our organisation’s image. In our small way, it’s given us enormous pride in knowing we have done what we can to help Shooting Star Chase continue their amazing work.”
